Taapsee Pannu Shows Keen Interest To Star In A Biopic On The Late Sushma Swaraj
Actress Taapsee Pannu who is promoting Mission Mangal these days, expressed her desire to star in a biopic based on the life of late former Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj
As soon as the Indian government revoked Article 370 and Article 35A, several filmmakers rushed to book this title in order to shoot a film on this special topic in the near future. As per a report over 20-30 applications have been received so far regarding the title. And now when an eminent personality like Sushma Swaraj, in the stream of work breathes her last, there are already questions floating on if a biopic is ever made on Sushma Swaraj, who would be a perfect fit for it.
Taapsee Pannu who is these days promoting her upcoming film Mission Mangal showed a keen interest to feature and step into the shoes of late former Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj for a biopic if ever made. During her interaction with Navbharat Times, she paid her tribute to Swaraj and expressed how she was fond of her since her childhood. She was quoted saying, “I used to stop when I used to study in school and would listen to Sushmaji's speech on TV. As a leader and a great person, I am a fan of Sushmaji and will always be. I will never leave a chance to live like Sushmaji on screen. Who wouldn't want to do a biopic of such a great and great leader?”
Currently, numbers of biopics to hit the silver screen in the near future are Abhinav Bindra’s biopic starring Harshvardhan Kapoor, Ajay Devgn’s Tanhaji, Saina Nehwal’s biopic featuring Parineeti Chopra, Janhvi Kapoor’s Kargil Girl and few more.
